The star attractions of Pilot reef are a family of resident Leopard Sharks who can sometimes be found chilling on the sand banks along the dive site.
Located close to the entrance of the shipping channel, this large flat reef is home to an array of colourful reef fish.
The bed spurts a variety of corals such as the staghorn coral, brain coral, whip coral, table coral and gorgonians to name a few.
The awkward Trumpet fish and tons of butterfly fish are a common sight on this reef and if luck shines upon you, there is a possibility to catch a few rare visitors such as the white-tip reef shark or a young manta ray.
